Week 2 Sept.19 2010 Dolphins 14 (2-0) @ Vikings 10 (0-2)

Well we lost again, but I did see a couple of promising things today. One being our defense is pretty good and not letting up many points at all and two being Adrian Peterson is on fire!! He had an excellent game today piling up 28 carries for 145 yards and a TD. But Brett Favre just couldn't get it going, 4 turnovers and no TD's is not gonna win a game. Although one of the turnovers were not his fault, a pass to Percy Harvin was put right on the numbers and Harvin just didn't make the catch, it bounced of him and into the Dolphins hands, he however touched the defender while he was down given the Dolphins horrible field position starting on their one yard line!
I'm starting to question Brett Favre's competitive nature here though, to me it just looks like he's not in the game almost as though he's just going through the motions. I just don't see the same enthusiasm like last year although maybe he just needs that game, like the 49er game last year, something to show him how much fun it is to win again. Anyhow he has to get something going here before next week when the Lion's come to town, they look like they've been in both their games to the end (I will say the Lions did beat the Bears) but it went down as a loss.
It didn't look like we suffered any injuries this week, which is good, now we have to see if this organization is going to make a move on a wide out. I think again today it showed we're in desperate need of one and maybe that's why Favre isn't into it as much, would explain alot. I've heard we have interest in Vincent Jackson of the San Diego Chargers and that would be great, we need someone of his caliber here!!
So let's keep our ears open and see if anything new comes up this week and if anyone who's reading this knows anything on the Vincent Jackson front please post a comment and let us all know!

Harvin added to injury list?

Ok really didn't see that one comin, when did he get injured?? I don't think we have another kickoff return guy... thanks to the brillant Darius Reynaud move!! We can't afford to lose another wide out right now!!

Week 1 - Review Vikings 9 @ Saints 14

Well this week 1 really showed some Big things this ball club needs to work on. When the game first started I thought wow, really, is this how it's gonna be? I mean they walked right down the field and put it in the end zone! Then the offense comes out and just stunk it up. But our defense finally settled down and looked like what I expected out of them, despite the fact that we had all safeties out there (with the exception of Winfield of course).
The offense never gained their footing, this is where I was goin in my last post, YOU HAVE TO GO TO TRAINING CAMP!!! Once again I know Favre has been in this league forever and this is his style of offense but the timing just isn't there yet and as depleted as we are at wide receiver you have to be able to hit the ones you do have on the field. Sydney Rice really screwed us with this surgery he decided to have now in stead of oh.. say.. last April, I like Rice and always have but I have to think twice now about his commitment to this team and to winning, he has to realize that although he is a talented receiver his numbers were great last year due in large part to who was throwing the ball to him. Now next year I can pretty much  say with certainty that Brett Favre will not be here and if Rice can get on the field this year he's going to miss a big chunk of the season and his numbers will reflect that, so the big pay day he's looking for might be gone!! With Favre being so out of sync right now Adrian Peterson will have to reclaim his team. I feel he did a great job Thursday night even with the Saints defenders trying to go for the strip, I hope he's gotten past that fumbling thing because we need him now more than ever!
To sum this up because I'm a few days behind here, I think Adrian Peterson needs to play hard for our best chance to win. Even  with the injuries we had we still held that powerful offense to only 14 points, in this game though for sure I think Sean Payton out coached Brad Childress, I hope Childress has found a way to stop that running play because that's what won the game for them!

The New Season Is Upon Us!

Well here we are already week 1 is done and in the bag. And since watching the first game against the N.O. Saints, I've decided it was time to start to voice my opinion about what the Minnesota Vikings are up to and see if maybe I can generate some buzz and get all your views on this team, coach and organization. So here's a little bit about me.... I've been a die hard Vikings fan for 25 years at least, I've seen this team through ups and downs and now I've got some real problems with how things are going thus far and it's only 1 week into the season!

So feel free to leave your comments and we'll try to keep things going on a week by week basis here!!

We're gonna start out in this post with some basic training camp moves and decisions, then in the next post we'll go into week 1 and anything that's come up between weeks 1 and 2 also trying to address any comments!! Ok? Here we go.......

Some of the training camp things that bothered me was first I know he's old and I know he knows this style of offense and gives us the best chance to win but really you have to come to training camp, yes I'm talking about number 4 Brett Favre. It's vital to a team to form some kind of chemistry and timing with your team and especially your receiver's!! More on this in my week 1 post. Next would be the trade to the N.Y. Giants, from my understanding it was that they traded QB Sage Rosenfels AND RB Darius Reynaud for an undisclosed pick in the 2011 draft and conditional pick in the 2012 draft.... why was Reynaud in that situation he's the only one we have to return punts!!!! I just don't get it, what is the brain trust thinking here! Although I will agree with the Miami Dolphins trade, CB Benny Sapp for WR Greg Camarillo not for seeing the injury to CB Chris Cook, this was a must have trade. I'm gonna leave my training camp views at this since we're past that time and concentrate on my week 1 post and start moving into week 2 of this NFL season!
